Lord,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would bow before You<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In humility of heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Willing to be broken,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And be taken all apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s difficult to say this,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For it feels a lot like dying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I am needy, sick at heart,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And weary of my trying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh, how our human pride<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tries to escape this at all cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fearing what You’ll tamper with <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And what things might be lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We fear to be so vulnerable <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To open up the soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We try to keep ourselves intact<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unbroken, strong, and whole.The breath of spring is fragrant with the fragrance of soil and flowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But sometimes wellness has to come<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After an operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have to brave the knife <\/p>\n\n\n\n
That makes the way to restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And so we have to trust the One<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who knows our every fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have to look to Him in faith<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And let Him draw us near.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You do not have to fear the One<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who holds the surgeon’s knife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He gave His everything for us,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So we could have new life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He will not make a single stroke <\/p>\n\n\n\n
That isn’t done in love,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That doesn’t work around for good,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With healing from above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So let Him touch your heart of hearts<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And reach your deepest place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will not hurt so much<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are gazing at His face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For what a sweet relief it is<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To let Him cut away<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ugly growths that fester,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the things that should not stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He will heal your deepest wounds<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And make all things anew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know He does these things for me,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And so He can for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Believe His love, and trust His hand<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That seeks to make you whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The greatest Surgeon in the world<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Has never lost a soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
